I moved here a month ago. Unfortunately other than Clearwire (which due to reviews I had read, avoided) no other service here in my area. Had some major billing issues (still do) which hopefully will eventually resolve themselves. Customer service is terrible though. It is a shame, the service is pretty good. After the special though, the price is high at more than twice what DSL would cost. On the bright side seeing some Verizon trucks in the area; if I could get DSL from either the local phone company here or Verizon will drop Comcast like a hot rock!
If you ever terminate service with them, KEEP your equipment receipt. I have been fighting back and forth with them for a year now, them claiming I did not return all equipment, me knowing I did.
KEEP ALL DOCUMENTS!!!

If there were something less than one star I could use I would. If there's any choice other than these people use them - smoke signals would be better.
It took them 8 visits to get our stuff installed - 8 days of missed work - installation techs and customer service workers all with a different story. Every time they came we got a bill for the trip - then I had to call and get the bills corrected.
Now, today, we're waiting again for a tech who didn't show - he said he called - funny, the phone didn't ring. Comcast dispatch called later and it came up on caller id as a Blocked Call - a business with a call block!
So they made us another appointment, but no one bothered to call us and tell us - the automated system "notified" us when I tried to call back to speak with whoever I talked to about them not showing up. She was supposed to call me back and didn't.
I HATE these people. If we could get high speed internet at this house with anyone else we wouldn't deal with them at all. Verizon, get on the ball, please.
We have no choice, right now. When our lease is up, we'll be moving - because I can't deal with these people anymore. Yes! It's that bad.
If you have a choice, don't make it Comcast!!!
