User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have enjoyed with friends, many first run movies at The Idle Hour Theater. It is family run and fun to be a part of. A volunteer campaign formed in the revitalizing of this cinema, would give others and the town of Belle Haven a true sense of pride in the restoration of this unique gem on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Let the multi screens stay in Salisbury and Virginia Beach where they belong.

HAVING MOVED TO THE AREA 2 MONTHS AGO I AM SO SURPRISED TO SEE THERE ARE NO DECENT THEATERS. HAVING TO GO TO VA. BEACH OR SALISBURY IS VERY INCONVINIENT & $ & TIME WASTING. I WOULD THINK THAT WITH THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE & A WALMART COMING IN THERE WOULD BE A DECENT THEATER--AT LEAST AN 8 PLEX---THIS THEATER IS APALLING & DANGEROUS AT BEST. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MANY , MANY FOLKS HERE & THEY ALL FEEL THE SAME WAY.

This is theater needs to be torn down or a upgrade or something. The movies they play come out on DVD 3 months before they get it! It's old and they close for about 4 months at a time. It's just not fun anymore!

Maurice, I too moved to the area and unlike outsiders, appreciate an atmosphere devoid of multi-screen cinemas and relish a quieter pace of life. Do others a favor and don't spoil one of the last few oases of life.
