My favorite!: My boyfriend and I love sushi and we've tried at least 4 different places around here. Kyoto's is definitly our favorite by far. We always sit over by the sushi bar. The atmosphere over there is not very intaminate but it's very relaxed. The waitresses are very attentive and kind. As far as the food, the sushi is the best we've tasted so far, and the prices are so reasonable! Even at $20 the sushi and sashimi special he gets is well worth the amount of food he receives. They also have more varieties of sushi than more places around here. We've done the hibachi grill once with his parents, it is a little odd sitting with people you dont know, so bring a bunch of people and you'll have a great time! The chef's really feed of the energy of the table so if you're having a good time so will they! There is a drink called a coco something..I dont remember the exact name but its so good! This is the best sushi place Ive been to and I recommend it to everyone!
Great dinner experience!: This place is great if you can reserve one of the hibachi tables and take at least a party of 8 with you, so you'll be surrounded by friends, I'm just not that crazy about being at a table with strangers! Our Chef was great, he kept calling everyone baby, and telling jokes. I love their spicy tuna sushi! Now my husband and I did try a romantic dinner in their sushi area, but it was too bright and too close to the bar area, so it got a little noisy, so we just enjoyed some sushi, and went and had a romantic dinner elsewhere. We've gone at lunch time also, and it seems pretty easy to get a table, and their food is just as good at lunch as at dinner!
Didn't enjoy it: I was disappointed when I went to kyoto's, not by anything they did, but from expecting it to be like other japanese restaurants I have been to. They do not have white sauce...which is my favorite part of japanese food and the portion sizes are smaller than what I can get elsewhere for the price. The food tasted okay.
