Service is incredibly variable: ask for Sherry: shes great! She is attentive, nice, and will make sure you have steaming hot hush puppies, and home made rolls. The other servers range from sullen ones who wont even tell you that hush puppies and bread are an option, to your average fairly nice, fairly attentive, and may get you one basket of hush puppies and rolls after you get your meal!!!

lF you get Sherry: HOORAY! You will get the experience the place is noted for...and delicious hush puppies, and delicious fresh rolls....yummmmmm

Oh yeah, the view is fabulous, but its hard to get...

OH yeah, and they also have main dishes....but you may guess that I go for the hush puppies!!!! :)))

We had a reservation for a large month - made over a month in advance. They put us on the deck - pretty, but it was cold enough to need jackets, we were freezing. Cutlery (for most of us) and menus arrived quickly, drinks (mostly non-alcoholic) reasonably soon afterwards. It went downhill fast from there. It took about an hour before starters and salads showed up (and the salad was not of high quality, with dressing in a plastic capped cup on the side). Rolls and hush puppies (one roll per person, two hush puppies) were good - and thank heavens we had them! Two hours after we'd arrived, still no signs of our dinners. When some of us got up to leave, we went to the cash register to pay for the drinks and starters - and the woman there made sure she charged us for the salads too (they were one of the sides for the dinners we never had). The attitude was "Too bad, we don't really care" and nobody even offered to get the manager, who apparently was spending her night in the kitchen. Would I recommend this place to anyone? Not even to my worst enemy!

Bad SERVICE, Bad food, and the prices?? $$$ TOO HIGH! $$$ NOT WORTH IT! DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE! I went because they boasted a great view with great food, but when I got there, they sat me in the back? While there were free tables by the window! The waitress took 30 min to refill my water and I overall felt rushed by her. I asked for my food to go and she came back with 4 boxes and told me "sorry, we don't usually do to go service so there isn't a bag for you to carry your food in." I had to ride the trolley with all those boxes, on top of that she didn't even offer me dessert or to go utensils... overall disappointing and EXPENSIVE experience. WILL NOT RETURN!!!
