Olive Garden is so overrated. Having grown up in Boston and eating Italian food in the North End (little italy) I can tell you first hand that Olive Garden is average at best. Plus it's a noisy environment.
When you leave Virginia Beach and go somewhere where there is REAL Italian food, you will be surprised. Not the worst place to eat, but certainly nothing to rave about.
This is not very good Italian food. The most raved about item are their garlic breadsticks. Even those have gone downhill...at least ay the Lynnhaven location. I liked there stuffed chicken (stuffed with cheese) but they haven't had that in years. Due to a great waiter I had once and the ok food, I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could.
One of My Best Eats in the East.: Been eating here a lot lately and it's always good eats, good times. I think I've only few left in the menu that I haven't tried but my all time favorite's the Seafood Portofino. I love their salad because they're the only ones here in the Beach that serves it with black olives & Jalapeno plus their House dressing is really good. Of course my trip here won't be complete without their yummy Alfredo dip pairing up with crusty Garlic bread. I love most of their red wines that I've sampled although I'm partial with Riesling. My favorite in their dessert menu is the Black Tie Moussecake, their Tiramisu needs more kick in it with more of that espresso. The ambiance is "very" family with crying babies in the background but it doesn't bother me because when you're here you're family! Lastly, don't forget to sample their wine ~ you're actually allowed to sample two kinds each visit ~ can't beat that! Viva Olive in the Beach yo!
