We went to Mr. Baldy's for the first time a few months ago, and loved it. The atmosphere is great -- friendly, down to earth, clean, and good food. It seems to be very well run. They always add nice touches like hanging quotes, poems and kids art on the walls. They have a great varied menu that has something for everyone. Even the vegetarians amoung us find something they like. Now we go visit them whenever we are in town. Mr. Baldy's gets 5 stars from us.

This is a fun & friendly restaurant. It's where the locals go - the prices are good and the food is GREAT. It's especially good for families - no smoking, no alcohol. The specials are really good & they've got the best prime rib in town at the best price. Crab cakes are homemade - the cook's name is "MUFFIN". What more could you want?!

We recently visited and found Mr. Baldy's to be a basic local hole-in-the-wall type restaurant. Decor consisted of children's coloring pages and quotes from various people printed in green paper and mounted throughout. Considering the plain decor, we were actually surprised by the quality of the food. We shared a fried shrimp basket and chicken and dumplings; both were very good. Not outstanding, but good. Pretty much sums of the restaurant. If you want elegant dining look elsewhere, but if you want a decent, fairly-priced meal, give Mr. Baldy's a shot.
