I read the posted reviews and although I can not attest to anyone's experience at Redline, be it positive or negative, I can only comment on my own.
I own an '05 BMW K12LT, a '95 Triumph T-bird, and now an '09 Ducati M1100 (thanks to my wife). When I started considering a third bike, something more on the sporting side, I looked at Buell, BMW, Aprilia, MV Agusta, and Ducati. What convinced me that Redline was the place to go was my personal experience with the staff, more on that later.
My first inquiries began via phone, then email. Each contact was very professional and cordial. I'm not taking anything away from other dealerships, but Redline answered all of my needs; price point, performance, and dealership. But I still didn't buy a bike.
My numerous visits to Redline were enjoyable and continue to be so. Dave and his team opened their shop to me, i.e. parts, service area (very clean), dyno, etc. Dave took the time and explained the inner workings of the desmo engine (a bike was in for service and on a stand). All of my questions, maintenance/service related, were answered. There was never any pressure to buy. By the way, Dave is 1 of 8 certified Ducati Master Technicians in the U.S.
Now to the purchase. Like I stated, I did not buy the bike. In fact, I was postponing the buy and concentrating on other things. My wife, however, who is not familiar with motorcycles at all, but knew I wanted a sport bike and was leaning towards Ducati, contacted Redline and bought the M1100 for me. The Redline staff took the time (a lot of it) and explained the differences between the bikes, etc. All of this occured over the phone. This was a very positive experience.
My subsequent dealings with Redline have been as superb as the initial meetings. I have recommended Redline to my friends and would not hesitate to do so in the future.
Consumer watch list. Watch for Redline in Yorktown, VA. Not a reputable company. Fact: Customers has had the unsavory experience at Redline, that many of them took Redline to court for unethical business conducts since 1998. Has been reported to the Better Business Bureau as well.
TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT: FACTS:
1) I called ahead and informed the service department of the type of bike I own, the type of maintenance I needed and the date I needed to have the bike back in my possession.
2) I asked if the bike could be worked on and "road ready" in two weeks. The gentleman said that it would.
3) It has been three weeks now and my bike STILL HAS NOT BEEN ON THE RACK FOR AN INSPECTION. I called four times and each time the guy said, "I'll have service give you a buzz." NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK EVER.
4) I am going back to get my bike and I will take my business elsewhere.
5) Total disappointment with this business - especially when taking into consideration that I used the one "positive" review of a previous customer as the basis for taking my bike there in the first place.

Blaine H, I wish I had read your review. Had the same problems-- The bike was sitting there for a MONTH!! without any work done. YET, these people had the audacity to charge me for "services" they supposedly did. I hope ppl will learn from our experience and not take their bikes there!
