My husband and I spent the day in Yorktown for the 4th of July and most restaurants were booked so we decided to go to the Carrot Tree and we were really impressed with the Goulouch plate and the service was excellent, the desserts are to die for because their fresh and most of all when we went the Owner blessed us with a free meal because my husband is active military and was leaving the next day on deployment so we were realy emotional when we were told the dinner was free! I would definently eat here again because the owner has alot of respect for military families and he has excellent people skills with really good food!

Drove up from NC to meet some friends in the area and choose the Carrot Tree because of the reviews -- excellent choice!-- sandwiches and soup were terrific but the very kind waitresses made us feel at home and really made out reunion extra-special. We drove over from Williamsburg the next day too for lunch!
Loved this place! The set-up is in a charming house with wooden floors and rugs. We ate here for dinner - the hummus and veggie appetizer was awesome and meals were great as well (I had crabcake, and my husband had meatloaf which he said was best he ever had. My three yr old had ham and cheese sandwich which came with brownie.) We're definitely goin back, if not just for their KeyLime Pie, superb!
