I would never use or recommend this facility, I went with a friend to check on her horse who was attacked by another animal and had her throat and neck injured, ( this was confirmed by the vets at NC State where we had to take the horse for further care ) Dr Dunavant was very disrespectful to the horse owner , inches from her face yelling insults, the horse was in stocks, cross tied, and standing still, the helper had a chain on the horses nose and was yanking on it constantly, and he also was wearing a hat glorifying cock fighting, Dr Dunavant walked over to the horse and slapped the horse hard in the face stating she needed discipline I call that abuse the horse was not doing anything but standing there. The bill was outrageous especially since the wound fell apart before we took her home . The day she was discharged by an associate of Dr Dunavant the horse had a surgical drain hanging out of her neck, no instructions for the care of this drain were given to the owner, she was handed a staple remover and told to take the staples out in 10 days. they were all ready coming out on their own. The horse is a Belgian/Paint cross a big horse,Dr Dunavant refused to feed the horse grain stating the horse was too fat. When you are trying to heal a wound you should increase nutrition not decrease it. Maybe he should look in the mirror and consider skipping a few meals. I am a health care professional and if I practiced this way I would loose my license ,in 22 years of practice I have never seen anyone act so unprofessional.I feel this owner deserves an apology and a refund but I am sure neither will happen

This is an excellent veterinary clinic with a great staff and the latest in equipment to help with a fast and accurate diagnosis. Everyone is friendly and eager to be of assistance, and they manage to operate efficiently without requiring appointments. I am confident that my pets receive the best possible care there.
