User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThough I've moved away from the Floyd area, I still maintain an account at Carter Bank & Trust, where I had had multiple personal and business accounts since 1989. The people are friendly and helpful, and I have great trust in the bank's stability. They are not kidding about lifetime free checking, and they don't hit you with the outrageous fees that some banks impose. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they don't (or at least didn't by the time I left) have ATM machines.
