OMGOODNESS!!! i live in chi-town. travel a lot...love a good restaurant that is local to the area. This restaurant is FABULOUS! It looks like a hole-in-the-wall. the ribs are great! the gulf shrimp with corn is great! the potato soup is the BEST...and i normally don't even order soup. the price is very reasonable.
Aesthetically it is not something you are looking for if you want fine dining. But if you want a great meal and nice people serving it, this is the spot! 
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAlison's has the best baked potato soup, hands down. I've traveled the states, eaten at many places and the soup is phenomenal. Also, the best ribs in the Tri-Cities. The bread that comes with most courses is different and tasteful. The service is immaculate, everyone remembers not only my face, but my drink of choice.
On the flipside, the stirfry was not my favorite thing. I've always learned, if you want stir fry or American-Chinese influenced dinners, go to a chinese resturant.
