User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsA privately owned bank not very interested in the small person or small bsiness. A group of local "BIG WHIGS" Board of Directors decide on whether or not to do business with you based on your credit score which if less than perfect, they are not too interested in your business. I had over $250,000.00 in cash and wanted to open an account as well as apply for a New Construction loan, but with a 8 year old ago discharged chapter 13 and a credit score of 790, they said I was too risky. Great credit history in last 4 or 5 years made no difference to them.
Too may good local friendly banks around to bother with Grayson National Bank. I felt like the Fraternity guys in the movie "Animal House" that were being paddled and hazed, after visiting this bank, "Thank you Sir may I have another".
