User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Hungry Farmer Restaurant is like sitting down at grandma's table and sharing great food
and conversation. The atmosphere is electric with local characters and lively talk of local news and a room filled with laughter while sharing made from scratch biscuits, country ham
gravies, and a buffet variety only compared to Miss Pitty Pat's Porch in Downtown Atlanta.
I urge anyone heading north and south through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtns. to stop in and fill up on true county food.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe place is full of flies. The food is not kept hot enough on the buffet. Some of the waitresses are very friendly but that doesn't make up for the ones that don't appear to be clean and have hair flying all over the place. The floors are filthy! I would not go back.

Passing through Cana ? , Stop Here to Eat!: Have eaten here many times over the past year, heard of it from other people that enjoyed it there,,,Very good Food and Great Prices.... You can't beat their buffet!

Hungry Farmer has more to offer than fancy tiles and hypocritical comments from passer-by that need to understand that maybe there was a reason for dirty floor on that particular day-like lots of customers- some restaurants throw peanut shells on the floor-at high dollar menu items. Hungry Farmer is a family restaurant that serves good country food like you use to find at grandmas kitchen table after a day in the field working with your hands. The food is good vittles at low affordable prices with country ambiance where everyone is a neighbor.
