It's pretty good there. Service seems to take FOREVER though, so I wouldn't go there if you're in a rush. Portions are generous. The service is slow but their food is always hot and fresh from the kitchen. The inside is cool- it has their original menu and the prices, which is fun to see. Overall, it's a good place... just wish it didn't take as long as a restaurant does!
I had really looked forward to visiting this drive-in, both because of the old style curb service and the excellent reviews on the hot dogs, hamburgers, and such. Rarely have I been more disappointed when eating at a place I had heard so much about. The hamburger was dry and almost completely tasteless after removing some of the mound of mayo on it. The hot dog was big with a good quality wiener and the bun was soft, but the chili had huge chunks of meat, more in the style and taste of a spaghetti sauce, and the about of mustard was unbelievable. The fries were completely inedible, cold, over-cooked, and greasy. Sometimes you can catch a place on a bad day with an item here and there, but this was beyond that kind of experience. The Kline's and Hog Wild combo down the road had great fries, a better dog, and pretty good Carolina BBQ.
A very fun trip down Memory Lane. Great nostalgia and good food. Take the family!
