We tried this restaurant for the first time and came away with mixed feelings. The wine list is extensive, although we didn't partake as my mother is a non-drinker. My husband got the lobster bisque and it was lumpy-- and no, the lumps were not lobster meat. Mom's tomato soup (of the day) was overly seasoned-- about 3 too many herbs in the mix. I got one of their specialty pizzas--prosciutto and spinach with a couple different cheeses-- and found the crust to be a little too limp and the cheese very thick. The spinach and prosciutto were laid on the surface at random and were not mixed together, so I either got a bite of: only cheese, cheese and prosciutto, or cheese and spinach. The tomato sauce and angel hair pasta that my mom and sister split as well my husband's chicken Caesar salad were excellent. Apparently this restaurant does some things well, and other things not so well. The atmosphere was nice.
From the service to the food - EXCELLENT. The only problem is the $16 corking fee if you order a bottle of wine for your table. Probably the best pizza in lynchburg (brick oven cooked), excellent dishes and they have great mixed drinks. Brandon is probably the best bar tender in town.
