My wife and I visited the Texas Inn on our vacation because it looked interesting and was full of local residents. We were not disappointed. It was full of local blue collar workers, golfing buddies and young & not so young couples.
We were tourist and I'm sure the waitress could tell by the way we hesitated when placing our order, but with her help and our willingness, we ordered a cheesy Western and a bowl of Chili Beans (more like chili bean soup). It was a great meal, it was fast and it was worth the visit.
I would recommend this tiny little place to anyone who wants something out of the ordinary. Don't miss it if you get close to Lynchburg.
I no longer live in Lynchburg, but whenever I do go back, the T-room is one of my first stops. My son also lives in Charlotte, and everytime I come back to the burg, I have to bring him a small cooler full of hot dogs and western's.
I don't care it you have just left a bar or a cocktail party, you can go into the T-Room at 2am and see ladies in gowns and men it black suit and tie sitting on a bar stool next to a wine-o. When you are at the T-Room, everyone is the same......Stop by after midnight and you will see what I am talking about. The food is great and the service is great, and you want spend a fortune. The T-Room ROCKS...Kyle

I recommend this place to all of our out of town guest! You CANNOT visit Lynchburg and not visit the T-room.
It is one of the last pieces of living history we have in this town.
Every time I go in there, I overhear someone talking about how they remember their dad bringing them to this place when they where a kid.
It's just nice to have a place that you can step back in time before strip malls and super stores.
It brings a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart as the chili brings a warm feeling to your stomach.
