    As close to the bayou as you'll get in WV!: What a great atmosphere to relax! Have some great simple food and drinks with friends while enjoying the breeze from the Kanawha River! This restaurant/bar is aboard a converted river barge. It's nothing fancy but has the feel of a Lousiana Cajun spot somewhere on the bayou. Everything from the handpainted murals to the blues floating from the sound system makes you want to slow down, relax, and appreciate the simple things in life as you unwind on the water.

    Wonderful cajun dinner on a barge: If you aren't from Charleston, ask someone how to get there. It's actually located on an old renovated barge, attached to a very thin strip of land between Dunbar Ave (Rt 25), and the Kanawha River. The very informal setting is comfortable, and the food is exceptional, especially if you like Cajun cooking. It's family friendly too, with a lower seating area for families, and a raised bar area. You can also pull up in your private boat or watercraft, tie up, and come aboard and eat. Bring some old bread to feed the ducks, and the kids will have a ball. They occassionally have some live entertainment too. The only drawback is this is a fair weather place only. They close up in fall through April. It is covered though, so you can still have a good meal if it's storming outside. Enjoy!

    Great place for a drink on the river: Did not eat, but had a couple of beers there. Nice atmosphere, right on the river. Nice crowd
