Lane Bryant is missing something...: For a store that is supposed to carry sizes for bigger women, this store is lacking. I am not a full figured woman. As a matter of fact, I am a single digit size. Please don't stop reading though b/c I went shopping with my friend, who is a fuller figured woman, and alot of the shirts she wanted were not in her size. There were NO pants or skirts in her size. The size the store had the most of was 14/16! Get real! That is the average woman's size. This size does not belong in a "full figured" clothing store. I thought I had a hard time shopping b/c there are no stores for thin people. Sadly, the clothes they make for thin people are trashy looking, with sequins all over the pants that ride so low, I call them "Say no to Crack" jeans, and "Baby Girl" across the butt, navel baring shirts, not to mention the skirts. They are so short, I agree with a friend who calls them "why bother" skirts. Seriously, you can see the person's butt! I was under the impression that Lane Bryant and other similar stores accomodated fuller figures. I was shocked that my friend had such a hard time finding her size in a store that is supposed to carry it. The staff is friendly & helpful for the most part. My friend did run into a problem with returning a shirt that tore up less than a week after she bought it brand new. Her problem was not so much with the staff as it was with the policies Lane Bryant has. My friend originally wanted to make even exchanges for the two shirts, but guess what? They did not have any, in her size.
Perhaps I don't have a right to review this store, since I am essentially the wrong size to shop there. (Except for jewelry. I LOVE their jewelry, but it's a bit overpriced.) Forgive me if I don't have this right, however I am reviewing it in hopes that things will change as far as size availability for both thinner and fuller figured women.
