I toured the Heritage Farm today. I was very impressed with the venue itself, but I was highly disappointed with the way that they handle their bookings. For example, if you rent the chapel (which is beautiful) to the tune of $350.00 on a Saturday for your ceremony, you must pay a full days rental to get the chapel the day before for decorating and/or rehearsal. I have done some research on this and I have found that is not normal. Typically the evening before is included in the cost of a Saturday venue rental. Also, you are not allowed access to the chapel or the reception hall until 10;00 the morning of the wedding. I do not feel that this leaves ample time for set-up, the actual ceremony and tear down of the chapel and/or reception hall. They do not offer on site cleaning crews and you are expected to "lightly sweep, bag all trash and move it to the BFI dumpster." I do not feel that I should be taking out the trash on my wedding day. With the cost of this venue, I feel that there should be more amenities offered. I was highly disappointed when I was finished with the tour of this venue. It is very pretty, rustic and it feels like you are taking a step back in time, but the rates and management of this establishment are definably of the 21st Century.
