Not New York City. . .but not bad at all. The food was wonderful, the service was designed to allow for suttle conversation between courses, it was quite and spacious. What more could you ask for Morgantown??

If you wanted Chettars, Cracker Barrel and the rest of the casual junk. . .head for the mall. Prices here were great....certainly not NYC, the wine selection was adequate, the beer cold...what could be better? Take my recommendation and give it a try!!

My wife and I had dinner at the Wharf Oliverios last night. I wrote on the credit card receipt, "Great food, Poor Service" The moment we walked in, there was nobody to greet us. There were other people in the lobby too. When the hostess finally came to the front, she never said anything and moved another couple to the back. After about 10 minutes, she finally asked how many. She asked my wife, and did not even want to acknowledge that I was the one answering. She then looked at my wife, and said, I'll be with you in a moment, never even acknowledging I existed.
We were finally seated, and after 15 minutes, finally saw a waitress. She asked for our drink order, again completely ignoring me, and asking only my wife. This was the strangest atmosphere I have seen. We finally ordered, received our food, and never saw our waitress for quite a while. My water ran out and my glass of wine. I began drinking my wife's water.
She finally came back at the end of the dinner, and gave us plenty of attention when we ordered dessert and until the check came.

I agree with another reviewer, food was fantastic!, but do not expect friendly, personal service. They are rude, and into themselves.

The food was good....but...don't go there if you're pressed for time. Our party of five arrived at 4PM, the server took our drink and appetizer order at 4:05, and our entree order at 4:10. Our appetizers arrived at 4:45, our salads at 4:55, and our entrees at 5:15. It was after 6PM before we finally received our check and were able to pay and leave. At first I thought that perhaps the kitchen was backed up, but parties who arrived well after us received their food and were on their way out as we were half way through our entrees. Also, the restaurant was not busy - there were numerous empty tables. It seems that our server was either new or inept because there were times when we sat with empty drinks for several minutes before she came by to ask if we would like refills -- which should have been obvious since our meals had yet to arrive. Our entrees were very good, but the salads were scanty and looked like they'd been sitting out for a couple of days, and at no time were we offered more bread. All in all, if you don't mind waiting over two hours for dinner, then this might be ok, but if you expect to receive your dinner within a reasonable amount of time then I would suggest going elsewhere. This makes the third time I've been to this restaurant and the experiences keep getting worse. I will not go back. (I have not been to the Evansdale restaurant so I do not know if the experience would be the same but I am in no hurry to find out.)
