Yama is EXCELLENT!! I go to eat there a lot and I never get tired of it! The surroundings are really adorable in my opinion. The dining area is small but it's very convenient. An interesting feature they have is that after you order your meal, you can sit and watch actually Japanese television as see some Japanese commercials, TV shows, Game shows, and anime! There is even multiple bookshelves filled with Japanese Manga (comic books). Even though most of them are still still in Japanese and aren't translated, It makes me feel like I'm actually Japan.

The food is amazing and so full of great taste. I defiantly recommend the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and Miso Soup. The Teriyaki Chicken Bowl is a bowl filled with sticky white rice (very easy to pick up with chopsticks if you know how to use them!) and topped with tender pieced of well cooked chicken and sliced, yellow pickled radishes (I REALLY like those for some reason and they give the meal a great taste!). Another 3 things I recommend for you to try are Ramune (cute little carbinated soda bottles that has to be opened by pressinga marble from the top! ahah) Japanese Mochii (which are small ice cream balls that are wrapped in a doughy covering, Flavours: chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and red bean (MY FAVOURITE), and last but not least is the Sasa Dango (It may look strange but it's actually pretty tastey! Its a really dark greenish blob of...you know what I'm not really sure what it is hahah but i like it! smells like green tea...)

I hope this convinced you to try Yama! : D OTAKU RULES!!!

Where you will find the townies: It looks like a hole in the wall but the food is brilliant. Simple dishes that are very well done. Tuna or chicken or tofu, it doesn't matter. Maybe avoid the sushi (fish quality is great, don't worry about that) but only because the other dishes are so good. Might be the best miso soup you'll ever have.
