    We have dined at the Golden Anchor twice this week and several times before. The food is always dependable and as close to "fine dining" as we have found in the Canaan Valley.
    The service is friendly and gets the job done.
    The crab leg entree seems to be a favorite of ours now and an incredible bargain.
    We highly recommend the Golden Anchor when in Davis.

    Fantastic food and service! We stayed at the Canaan Valley Resort but ate here. We had the trout pate which I've never had before and wasn't sure I would like it, but adored it! The entree' was fresh fish, blackened, a chef special. I would go back again, many many times!

    Best Restaurant in Canaan Valley!: Everything from the food to the service was top notch. It is both great for casual dining or formal. The food is superb. The waitstaff is fantastic, especially our hostess, Pat. The owner, Ron, is a wonderful man who loves his business and loves his customers. The prices were reasonable and the portions were so much that you'll need a doggy bag. I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested.

    The cabins were fantastic. The views, the hot tubs, the quiet atmosphere made the entire weekend so relaxing. It was definately the perfect way to spend an anniversary.
