Best in Chatham!: Went to the Red Nun on a recent vacation and I think this was the best meal I had in all of Cape Cod. I disagree with the previous reviewer that said they have mostly "bar food". I got a seafood dinner special that included the most delicious cod, lobster, and scallops that I think I've ever had, and for only $15.95! (Salad and side dish included). My date had the fish and chips and it was among the best he's had anywhere in the world.
I loved the location, it's right next to the Chatham Cape Cod baseball league's field, so it's wonderful to watch the game and stop in for dinner afterwards.
It looks a little rough on the outside, it could use some paint, but don't let that deter you, the food is truly fantastic. I had a dinner earlier the same week at Christian's, another Chatham restaurant that's more expensive, and it didn't compare to the Red Nun.
TOO SMALL!!!: The Red Nun is a great local tavern. Its only drawback is its too small!! The place is full of local fishermen, so the seafood is top shelf fresh. Try the cod cheeks - unbelievablely good, and not something you see in restaurants. Everyone who works there is fun & friendly. Menu is pretty much bar food, but they always have great specials, and like I said, the seafood is great.
