The food is prepared fresh; the service is quick; the waitresses are friendly; and the dishes are varied enough to keep this from being a run of the mill family restaurant. I would highly recommend the grilled chicken and sweet potato fries. King is a tobacco-friendly town, so expect the smoking section to be packed during peak hours. If you are bothered by smoke, go early and get a seat near the front. The dining room and restrooms have recently been updated. The rural looking murals are a great touch.
we love the place, we love the food, and we especially love going there for a delicious quick lunch!
Great food, Great service.
If you want the best service, ask for Ruth, Pansy or Rowena.
Small town patrons, which means 2-9% tips because they are
largely uneducated, conservative country folks.
Smoking section is another side of the place, through doors.
RJ Reynolds tobacco is less than one mile away, this is tobacco town, plain and simple.
Those who complain are just biting the hand that feeds them.
Town and Country is worth the drive....
