Hands down the WORST steak house I have ever been to on the East Coast. Went out to eat in a group of six last spring, and we received shameful service. Struggled to get drinks all night long, our appetizer plates were still on the table at the end of the meal, and they botched two our of orders. The food was mediocre, but certainly not the "Best in town." Everything you have heard is true - Chop House isn't worth the visit.

I visited this place about 2 months ago for the first and last time. I was very optmistic after the appetizers came, as they were very good. The waiter stated that steaks were thier specialty, and that they reject a very large percentage of the meat they receive, so I felt confident in order the ribeye cooked medium rare. With a price of $28 for a 16 oz. cut of Ribeye, I expected a top notch steak and cooked correctly. Finally after waiting nearly an hour, I received my meal. The steak had a huge piece of fat through the center, and when I cut into the steak, the center was cold and purple. After my friends encouraged me to send it back, it came back a little more done but still purple. The side consisted a what they call a double stuffed potato, which was just a warmed over potato skin with creamed potato with a little cheddar cheese. At that point my appetite was done for, so I paid my $75 and went to McDonald's. The next night, I went to Food Lion and picked up a nice Ribeye for $10, cooked it to a nice warm, red center and called it a lesson learned.

A ribeye is suppossed to have fat all throughout it. Guess you shouldnt be going to a nice restaurant if you think a steak from food lion is good.

Ummm Yeah.............. Ribeye's are the most fatty cut of meat to get......... The fat is what makes them good!

    Poor.

The few times I've been there over the past few years something has always been wrong. I used to say "oh, well they have soo many orders to take", but it's their job to do it correctly. If other businesses made as many consistant mistakes as this place they would be out of business.

I guess they try, but if I'm payin upwards of $100 for a date or more for a family meal, please (PLEASE) don't waste my time with 'try'.

If the attention to detail was greater and more emphasis on excellence, then it would be fine.

    But it's a fine facility.
