This business, in my mind, is criminal. I took a VW in to have the heater fixed. Three trips back and forth and the heater never worked. I don't think they did any work whatsoever. I had an extended warranty which covered a small amount of the repair and then, without my authorization, they decided to replace a part that was not defective (the owner claimed it was just a good idea) and then charge me $1000. Mind you, they never called to tell me anything...they just started replacing random parts and sticking me for $1000. I was furious and complained but they would not give me my keys. I thought about calling the police or something for outright fraud. They gave me a bag of coffee as some sort of apology gift. That's a $1000 bag of coffee, mind you.

I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau and trying to dispute the charge w/my credit card company as theft (that is not going to well since I signed the receipt in order to get my car).

Took my Discovery II in just to get a quote on changing the front 2 O2 sensors. Owner asked me how I knew that was the issue. I explained I had taken it to another garage & had the codes read, even though I didn't have the printout with me. Owner says he wouldn't take the readings from another garage, so I asked how much it would be just to find out the problem. He quoted me "a couple of hundred dollars." He also said he would call me with a quote on changing the sensors anyway, which he never did. The guy just seemed very uninterested & unprofessional, even though I really needed help. I instead took my truck to Chuck @ Rover Fixer in Summerfield, NC & he was polite, accommodating & very professional, and had the job done in no time. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.Plus, this was all after taking my truck to them several months prior due to a MAJOR engine issue. I was told the job I most likely needed to get it repaired had cost other customers up to $7,000! I was able to get a completely redone AND guaranteed engine w/new heads & several other new parts installed for less than HALF that amount by John @ Tidewater Rovers in Wilmington, NC & haven't had any engine problems since.
