Fantastic Italian Food...we stop here on our travels and will be going back again next week when we stay in Burlington overnight. Our Hotel even advised us to go there when we asked for a good place to eat. We were not disappointed. Ate at the nice little bar there and chatted with he very attentive bartender. Can't wait till next week...Taste buds tingling already!!!...

Greasy, greasy food. The food is ok, it's just very greasy. Just about anything you get is dripping with grease. Blah. Also, another place in Burlington that people think is the greatest and it's beyond me why. There are better Italian places to eat at.

Great food, but with one caveat: Sal's was the first restaurant I discovered when I moved to the Burlington area ten years ago and it quickly became a favorite. The Saltimbocca alla Romana (and it's poultry twin, Pollo alla Romana), linguine with white clam sauce, and fried calamari are all excellent, and the fresh bread that comes with every meal may be the best in town. My only problem with Sal's has been when I've had to speak with a manager about an issue with an order (fortunately this has only occured twice in ten years); the two managers I've encountered were the least helpful individuals I've ever met and were almost enough to make me swear off Sal's. The food is good enough to keep me coming back, although Sal's no longer has the best Italian food in Burlington (that honor belongs to Prego's Trattoria), so we'll see...
