Colonial Hardware has everything you need from a traditional small town hardware store. The selection is huge and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable.
They frequently have items no one else has, not even the big chains like Lowe’s and Home Depot.
I had a dining room table that had split several of the nuts on the leg bolts and was to the point of falling down. Couldn’t find replacements that would fit anywhere. I took one of the few good nuts left to Colonial and they were able to tell me the problem. They were metric, and they had the replacements in stock!
And when no one in town could make me an extra key for my uncommon motorcycle, their key machine man improvised from the closest slug he had. He reduced its thickness so it would fit the tank lock and modified its length to make it operate the ignition correctly, going out to my bike to check the fit as he worked. And all for the regular price of a standard duplicate.
They also a great selection of nostalgic toys.
What a first class place with a first class staff!
