Bella easily compares to the fine dining we have experienced in the Alps, Grand Cayman Island, and various cities around the U.S. We drove up dressed in dark denim jeans, her in a nice sweater and me in a button down, and were very much dressed appropriate for the unpretentious yet refined atmosphere. Bella is the perfect match to the community theater around the corner and the nearby art and antique shops. Our waitress, Ashley, was very sweet and knowledgeable about the cuisine. Her recommendations were spot on. We started with the Shrimp and Grits out of curiosity and were pleasantly surprised by a unique and rich flavor combination that exemplifies the Bella's culinary niche of "southern refined". I enjoyed sweet potato soup and a scallop dish. My date and spouse of 18 years delighted in the evening special of yellow fin tuna.
Our meals were around $25 a plate and $10 for the appetizer. Add a bottle of wine, coffee, and cheesecake, and you are still just at $100 for a wonderful evening of truly tasteful entertainment. Of course, you will have to add your gratuity, but the staff will make sure you do not feel any buyer's remorse concerning your tip.
Hope this was helpful; enjoy your meal.
We had the most amazing food at this Bistro, you can tell that this is a chef driven restaurant. Chef Chad does not skimp on quality or quantiy. We are traveling from Cary to eat here as often as possible. If you are unsure of what to choose let the knowledgable waitstaff guide you, they know their stuff. Fresh fish, organic beef and pork, what else could you ask for...26 wines by the glass and full ABC permits. You have got to check this place out!
We visited this past Saturday, and it was awesome. My wife and I were walking around downtown and happened upon Bella. This is one of the best restaurants that we have ever eaten at. We had the best waiter. The chef was awesome. Make reservations before you go. This is the best kept secret in Sanford.
