I see the other reviews about it being loud and the people rude, but I think it's just that people aren't used to northern delis (loud and customers are greeted with "what do you want")They are actually a lot nicer than you would get up there. Don't let the comments put you off. The food is awesome

I have had mostly negative experiences with the service at Martinho's also! The man that i usually see in there has a smart mouth and has been rude all except one time. He answers the phone for telemarketers and cusses them out while he has customers in line waiting to order. Very unprofessional. The food was decent, but not good enough for me to go back.

Didn't Know Italians Were So Rude: We have been in Martinho's Pizza several times. The few people who work there are rude, ill mannered and extremely discourteous and unprofessional. The food is pretty good, but when you call, they answer the phone, "huh?" or "Hello," they don't identify who they are - the noise factor is unbelievable and the last time we ordered over the phone, my husband went to pick up and they tried to pin him and say he ordered something that he he did not. They are extremely rude and we are seriously thinking of finding somewhere else to order from. They think they are the only game in town; they are ruining their reputation with their ill-mannered and unprofessional NO-customer service. There is another pizza restaurant around the corner we'll go to from now on. Food okay - management, "ambiance" and customer service LOUD, LOUSY and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. It has gotten worse over the last year. You can never get in there on a Friday night, it is too small and noisy. Take out is the only option and again, the way they conduct their take-out service is abominable.

Interesting! I placed a take-out order there yesterday, and they were so friendly, I was very surprised. I commented to my husband about it, because usually, I have to agree with you--they are in a very bad mood. Maybe things are looking up---or maybe in the bipolar world of Martinhos, I caught them in a good mood! It could happen.
The Martinhos are Portuguese not Italian and I'm not sure why that matters anyway.
