I'm really disappointed in Salon 135. I've been going there for 10 years, but I won't be going back in the future, since Ashlynn and Kelly (the two best stylists) are no longer employed there--and since Salon 135 refuses to tell their clients where they've gone! Fortunately I was able to find them on my own; they're now at Capelli on North Greensboro Street in Carrboro.

If you are the sort of person that wants the same cookie-cutter cut and color that you've always had and a pat on the back to reassure you that you look ok (when you might not) - this is not the place to go. Don't let the laid-back atmosphere fool you, these are talented stylists affordably under-priced. From my personal experiences, this is one of the cheapest places in Chapel Hill where you will get far better results than any where else.

Johnnathan has been doing my hair for over 6 years now and the cuts only get better. He truly has a gift for seeing what cut will look best on a person's facial structure. He is also an amazing colorist and I've changed my hair color drastically over the years, with only compliments.

The stylists are sincere, they'll actually answer the questions you might have about your hair without any snottiness. They also know their product line, which is more than I can say about most salons, wher you feel like they're always trying to sell you something you don't need. The atmosphere is like being around your relatives. It's obvious how close everyone is and how they bring their clients into the fun.

If you like a spa-like atmosphere where stylists have the attitudes that they could be doing something better with their time, you will not find that here. These people actually love what they do and it's been a pleasure creating relationships with them.

I've sent all my friends and co-workers here. You won't be disappointed!!!

    Great!!
I called literally 15 minutes before and got the last appointment they had open that day. They were really nice about squeezing me in as a first time customer and Jonathan gave me one of the best hair cuts I've ever had. He took the idea that I had and my requirements and turned it into a great look. I have very thick hair and he thinned it out so now my natural curl can shine through instead of weighed-down frizz. I would highly recommend the salon and him!
