| About: | This is one of the largest planetariums in the country. The immense domed Star Theater houses a completely automated Zeiss Model VI Star Projector, one of the very few in the world. Shows include "Solar System Adventure," for older students and adults, "Sol & Company" for the youngsters and "Larry, Cat in Space" for the preschool set. Tickets go on sale one half-hour before show time. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsUNC Morehead Planetarium: If you are looking for an alternative to the usual Friday or Saturday movie outing...try the Planetarium..for less than the cost of a movie you can see a wonderful star show. I recommend Carolina Skies...they will take you through the night sky on the given night you are there..through a sunset and a sunrise...showing you all the constellations and visible plantets....simply awesome!!!
