"a-roi" - delicious! Having been in Thailand, Sawasdee exceeded my expectations. It had the authenticity I always hope for when going to a Thai restaurant. The flavors were bursting in our mouths, the servings were plentiful, and the presentation of the main course was top notch with rice being served on the side shaped as a butterfly or heart for a finishing touch. The appetizer was good, and we had the homeade coconut ice cream with chopped peanuts for dessert. The staff was attentive and extremely friendly the entitre meal. It will be a staple for us when we are in Raleigh.

What a gem! When you first walk in, the enviornment is so clean and homey. It is decorated very well in an artsy, colorful fashion. The servers are so nice and respectful. It really was some of the best service I've had. As an appetizer, I had their coconut soup and it was delicious. It smelled fantastic and the veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked. For dinner I had their red curry with veggies and tofu. When they brought out the rice, it was molded in the shape of a heart and I just thought that was so neat of them to pay that much attention to detail. The curry was absolutely fantastic. It was so creamy and it had the right amount of spice. I had ordered their first level of spicy, which is just "spicy." I asked for some of their chilli sauce on the side for some extra saltiness and spice. The one thing that I did not like about this restaurant is that it's a little crammped, but overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Check it out, it's right beside Chuck E Cheese and some hair braiding place right off of Capital Blvd. As we were leaving, all the servers stopped, smiled and said "goodbye" at the same time. It was so nice to see everyone so happy. 5 stars all the way.
