‎72 Hours (3 full days)! That s how long it took someone from East Coast Towing in Rock Hill, SC to call me back about my car that they damaged when they towed it. Here s the full story... Saturday morning (May 19th) as I was pulling out of my garage, a small spring on my parking brakes broke...locking the brakes. I call AAA Emergency Road Service and within 45 minutes a truck from East Coast Towing showed up at my house. I wanted my car towed to the Volvo Dealership in Charlotte, NC (about 25 miles away). After an hour, the tow truck drive call me at 12:00 noon to inform me that he had failed to strap my car down properly on the truck and it had rolled forward and damaged the bumper, front grill, hood and radiator. He said his supervisor would look at the damage and get back to me about it. That was 3 days ago! On Monday I called East Coast Towing s claims manager in Raleigh to ask what they were doing to repair my car and cover rental car expenses while my car was in the body shop being repaired. The claims manager stated that he did not feel they should pay for a rental car on Monday since my car would have been at the Volvo dealership being repaired for the parking break problem. Oh by the way, the Volvo dealership said my parking break problem only needed a small washer and took less than an hour to repair. Over the past 72 hours I ve made multiple calls to AAA Road Service and East Coast Towing to see if anyone could tell me what they were doing to fix my car. So after I called East Coast Towing 4 times today (Tuesday May 22) they finally returned my call to say they would cover the repairs and my rental car bill. I am glad they have agreed to pay for the damages their driver did to my car but come on people, it should not have taken you 3 whole days to iniate a call to me. If someone from East Coast Towing had called me Saturday and said they would pay for their damages, I would not be sending this email message. But East Coast Towing wanted to ignore me until they found out I wasn t going away. This is not the way you deliver quality customer service!
