I went with my mother for dinner tonight and it was fantastic! We waited for less than 10 minutes and the service was phenomenal. Our server, Josh, knew the ins and outs of the menu and was easily able to answer all of our questions. (It was our first time dining at one) He gave us two sides with our meal on the house and didn't charge for our beverages. The restaurant was a little loud when we first sat down, but once the place cleared out it couldn't have been more perfect. I can't wait to eat there again... or to have Josh as our server.
Food was excellent and the waiter was great! Ordered the orange shrimp and loved it along with the Sea Bass. Excellent choice. I don't know what the others ordered that thought it was salty, but mine was perfect.
I've been to other PF Chang's in other parts of the country. This one was the worst or perhaps they have all changed to the worse. Overall, I would never rate these restaurants as anything above fair to good. There are too many excellent "far east cuisine" restaurants that are not chains in all US cities....nevermind what you find in China town San Fransisco, Montreal, or wherever. I
For Crabtree location, the service was good, the timeliness was good...but food quality was poor and that is the primary factor that must be used to judge food. One doesn't care how speedy the service was if the food was unsatisfactory.
I found sauces dull. The egg roll sauce was starchy and like a pool of congealed gravy. Their signature lettuce wraps fastfoodish with the chicken doubly well done and the spicy chicken smacked of a TV dinner. I was equally disappointed in tasting my friend's meals.
Sorry if I offend people on this review. I'll add that I do a fair amount of cooking and so I often I rate things on how well I could do versus how well the restaurant did. In this case, I can do much better.
