Unfortunately we would have rated this place a 4 or 5 prior to our last two visits. In October we went to our condo in KH as we do several times a year and traditionally spend the evening enjoying a drink and dinner at this restaurant. This time around, we were snubbed, told the bar stools were "reserved for a local" with no options provided such as "please let me get you a table" Once we compromised, we relaxed and ordered our dinner, after we ordered, several "locals" including a large party arrived and were served their meals prior to our meals being delivered. We had to get direct with the staff to inquire about the meals. Since this group mistakened us for a "tourist" they did not seem interested in our continued support. If you don't live in Kitty Hawk and frequent O Blvd, I would not recommend this restaurant. For simple, consistent good food and drinks try awful authors,
My wife and I own a condo in the Kitty Hawk Area, and whenever we come into town our plans would always include dinner at O Blvd. On the last trip, in October, it was a huge let down. The bistro was clearly more interested in catering to their local patrons then unfamiliar faces. We were told the seats at the bar were "reserved" for a special local and then watched as the locals were served drinks and food while we patiently waited for service and a very expensive dinner that took too long. If you are not one the frequent patrons at O Boulevard, I would look elsewhere for good service and a nice meal. No longer will Ocean Blvd be our place to go.
Best food on the beach as well as the most knowledgeable bartenders.Upscale but far from stuffy.Don't want to say too much-might spoil my sane sanctuary.
