THIS PLACE IS REALLY GOOD. They are always friendly and the apricot tea is wonderful. I order it by the gallon to drink at work. Chicken salad is really good too. Cool atmosphere.
A small menu, but good food. This place used to be only for lunch but recently added dinner and Sunday Brunch. The food is good and the atmosphere is above average (downtown historic building). The service is always slow and not a good place if you've got kids or or in a hurry. This place is the hot spot for older wommen out doing lunch (eating quiche). But, I really like their Bacon/Blue cheeseburger. No beer/wine at lunch not sure (but doubt it) for dinner.
I live an hour away from this restaurant, and sometimes make the trip just to have lunch here. Menu has an impressive variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups. Service is brisk and professional without being formal, folksy or rushed. They bring you poppy seed muffins right off the bat. Foodâs tasty, never disappointing. Prices are average. I think one of their signatures is the iced apricot tea, which I love. They serve wine, and what look like desserts made on-site. The dining room is large, and has a wooden floor and a pressed tin ceiling, but because of the high ceiling, the noise level isnât a problem. Everyone seems to know each other, but I never feel like Iâm trespassing, which is sometimes the case with a locally popular restaurant like this. I like that the backs of the booths are high, so you can have a private conversation. Decor is a little on the funky side, but interesting (old pictures of local buildings). It seems clean, but I noticed that the sanitation rating is only 93 point something. I never regret going here, something you canât always say about a moderately priced, locally owned restaurant.
