Nice atmosphere, upbeat music, great wait staff. Delicious cumin dip for those quesadillas! I thought the seafood was OK. The Scallops were large and cooked perfectly but had a strange flavor.. and I'm a scallop lover. The Mahi was ymmy and perfectly cooked. The portions were stingy. The green beans were horrid. straight from the can and "Cajun" potatoes were old, boiled, and in a watery flavorless puddle. I'll try somewhere else next time.
LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! FOODS GREAT, STAFF'S ALL WELL KNOWN, LAID BACK ATMOSPHERE! ONE THING, BRING BACK HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best place to go for OBX seafood: One of my favorite places on the outerbanks. A great big platter of crab, muscles, clams, oysters and more with a bag to put the shells in. What more can you ask for! Draw on the tables and have a great time. All parties, large and small, are welcome at this locally owned seafood house. The people are great! One of the reasons we come back to Hatteras. Our vacation wouldn't be the same without the Mad Crabber. If you only eat out once on the outerbanks, make it this one! Pricing is pretty good. I had a whole lobster with clams and scallops for $26.95. The platter of seafood is the best choice, it's around the same price range but worth every penny. You won't go away hungry and you'll probably come back!
