for those of us in edenton, watermans is a gold standard. compared to other big cities, granted, it may not stack up so well......but their food is always good, it is consistent, and they have great specials. the service is awesome and the atmosphere is top notch! they have a great ribeye....also great crabmeat....prime rib....and flounder. you can't go wrong with most things on the menu. the only item that has ever disappointed me was oysters....were small and had a lot of batter. their tilipia is awesome too!!! pecan crusted.......
there is usually a wait for good reason..... it is a great place to eat and treat yourself

would reconsider our choice: went on fri night 2/17/06. was very busy, had to wait about 25 min to be seated, not a problem really tho, butt not too much room at the bar, had to stand. Finally were seated and waited about another 20 min, without our waitress in sight before then, to have our order taken. Had it to go, and never got a bag, napkins, plastic utensils, comdiments, nothing. Ate it 10 minutes later and had prime rib special and tuna and shrimp special. Shrimp was good, tuna was not med rare as asked- was cold and very dry, prime rib was good, but a bit salty, vegetables were VERY salty. Leaving there were about 25 people waiting at that time.
