Owensby, Susan MD - Caromont Pediatric Partners

We all love Dr. Ownesby! She was highly recomended to me by ALL the nurses at GMH. We started going to her when my first child was born and have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Owensby and ALL the staff at Caromont Pediatric Partners in Belmont and the after hours in Gastonia, N.C. My son is 2yrs old and he knows who Dr. Owensby is and gets excited when we are going to see her. She is a very good pediatrician who knows her stuff and keeps up with new medical information. If you ever ask her a question (like me all the time) that maybe you read about or heard about on T.V. that bothers you she always has the update on it and always has a informed answer to my concerns. She is also very compasionate! My sister got killed about two years ago and at the time my nephew was only 4 yrs old, Dr. Owensby ALWAYS makes it a point to ask me how he is doing and he isn't even one of her parients. I would recomend her to anyone. When you are putting the lives of your children in someone else hands you want to make sure that they are the BEST. You have the informed knowledge of a doctor and the compasion from another mother. I can say I TRUST Dr. Owensby with my LIFE which are my CHILDREN!

So why am I the first person to write a review on Sue Owensby? Maybe because it's easier to write when there is a problem. Owensby has got the ideal temperament, both for kids and their parents/guardians. She comes into the room and notices the people, she is genuine, does her homework. Our child has Down syndrome and she always is up to date on the latest developments when it comes to genetics. Despite managed care, she never acts rushed - she is a great clinician whom the nurses love, whether at GMH or CMC. The whole practice is excellent but we started because of her. Go Packers!
