User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI long to be able to play pool, but with asthma I can't get in the front door of this place without a SCBA mask because the smoke is so heavy. I came one day in the late afternoon, it was not crowded but it still smelled so bad. It's a shame non-smokers can't go anywhere in Charlotte area and shoot pool without having to deal with smoke.
As for the food or the actual tables I have no idea since I would end up in the hospital if I stayed inside. Shame the business you don't know your loosing....
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRack'ems is a cool place to relax and have fun. I was actually dating (the man of my dreams) and he took me to this place and taught me how to play pool. So every year on our anniversary we try to go back and reminisce on the memories we created that night on table#11. Oh, and the new place wow!! Talking about an upgrade its so clean and sophisticated.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars"Break" down and visit the "Rack": People all over the city are trying to get in to join the APA teams at Rack'em. I enjoy shooting pool here every chance I get. I joined a team here and I live in Albemarle over 45 minutes away. We play nine ball every Thursday night. The tables are great. The crowd is fun. The joint is jumpin' and thumpin. The food selection is limited but the chicken strips are good. Everything you could ask for in a pool hall. The crowd has fun and there are no outbreaks of hostility like I have seen at other places, at least not on Thursday nights.

It's a nice enough place if you don't mind smelling like you've been swimming in a huge stinking ashtray after being in there for more than a minute or two. The place totally REEKS!!! Did I mention that the place totally REEKS?
