    Seeing the name of this place just makes my mouth water. I used to live in Charlotte and this place has always been a family fav. When some one in the family goes back for a visit they have to bring some of the stew back. I can not say enough about the food. It is a must try for anyone who has never been

    MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME!: MY PARENTS TOOK ME TO THE OLD HICKORY HOUSE, AS FAR BACK AS I CAN REMEMBER! HERE 42 YRS. LATER, I STILL LOVE IT AND WOULD RATHER EAT HERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE! LEXINGTON BBQ; CANNOT EVEN COMPARE!! FAMILY ORIENTED; LAYED BACK; SERVICE WITH A SMILE AND A FEW JOKES; ALONG WITH THE BEST BBQ AND BRUNSWICK STEW ON GOD'S GREEN PLANET!!!!! I EVEN GO TO THE REST. TO GET A GALLON OF BRUNSWICK STEW; PUT IT IN CONTAINERS; FREEZE IT AND HAVE IT AT MY BECK AND CALL!! BEST RESTAURANT IN NORTH CAROLINA, HANDS DOWN!!!!!!:) :)
