User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsDouble Door: The band (Elliot and the Untouchables) was terrific. The staff was friendly. The crowd was small and DEAD! It was not what I expected, but maybe the crowd is more lively at other times. Noone danced. Everyone just watched the band. What's up with that?
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSchool: As a Charlottean, growing up, residing and working in the area, the name Double Door is synonymous with identifying the city. Hearing of the countless names of legends and potential greats from other regions, made me more than hungry to finally enter this ( Mecca ). It's just a small white structure, kind of resembling an old school. The crowd, staff and overall vibe gives a person a welcoming and belonging. As a musician myself, everyone is made to feel on the same level ( artist and audience ). Just go once, You'll get it.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDouble Door: If you look up best bar in Webster's, you will find a picture of the Double Door. Imagine Eric Clapton just happens to show up to play and hang out with you and your friends....it happened here! Even the regulars will keep you entertained.
