Fuel on The Green: I stopped in at the Fuel Cafe on The Green on South Tryon Street. They have alot of food choices, with pizza obviously but also with salads, breads and other treats. They have tables you can sit down within the building or you can eat out on the patio next to The Green, a park next to the Ratcliffe Condos. It's a little hectic getting your food, it seems like you can order from about anyone instead of having a systematic "Order Here", "Pay Here" windows but overall the service isn't bad.
I got a small chef's salad, some garlic rolls and a homemade brownie. I was served fairly quickly and all the food tasted great, especially the brownie! I would stop here again if I wanted a quick bite to eat Uptown.
Are you kidding me??: I hope this is not the best pizza Charlotte has to offer, because it is HORRIBLE!! I have had school cafeteria pizza that tasted better! Also the person who took my order did not understand the menu or the prices! Hello??!! If you've read that this pizza is good and want to try it go ahead, but I guarantee it will be the last time you order this junk!
Not so good!: After reading so many great reviews and seeing the segment on Food Stories, I was expecting pizza to knock my socks off! Instead I was disappointed with everything but the service. I'm not sure what pizza these people were raving about, but ours was greasy to the point of having to wipe it with a paper towel... Second it was too soggy for a thin crust, the sauce was blah... no zip at all. We also had an order of wings, which was one of things I had heard this place was famous for... basically they were unseasoned cooked wings in a bland sauce supposed to be a Caribbean Jerk
