About:Tucked away in Charlotte's South End, the Villa Antonio Ristorante is unknown to many locals. In light of its inviting dance floor and classic take on Italian cuisine, it would seem Villa Antonio deserves much more attention. The tuxedo-clad servers manage to give you space and still attend to your every need. Every night there is live Italian-style guitar and piano music. Occasional wine tastings can be turned into informal, inexpensive meals, what with the complimentary buffets.     This is for the restaurant in Ballantyne. Nice place, good food, but the SMOKE is unbearable! It feels as if you are sitting in the middle of a lit cigarrette. It truely is a shame, it's a great location, food, etc... I really thought with the location and atmoshere it would be more classy then to allow people to sit there with cigarrettes hanging out of their mouths. And once the night club part starts, forget it. It is literally a cloud of cancer. Go to 131 Main in Ballantyne. Non smoking and just as nice, if not nicer. And also, look a the floor at Villa in the bar area. Ashes and cigarrette butts all over it. Grosse.

    I don't know about the south location, but avoid the Ballantyne location like the plague! It is the poorest service I have received in Charlotte. Totally incompetent waiter and lots of staff standing around doing nothing. LONG WAIT only to get food that was not to order. We left and went home and boiled spaghetti

    I've been here several times and I never leave satisfied. The food is bland and over priced. I've heard that the lunch buffet is better and a better deal but I can say that I will not be going back again for a $100 dinner that is completely forgettable.
