I find it funny you guys are saying all this. No, I don't work for the amphithreatre. But have you ever put on an event? Not just concerts. The city tells you how many police you need..and that's the number you pay..yes, you PAY @ $35 per hour a min. of 3 hours. And you know those jobs you're friends have, for some reason they want to be paid. Then let's add in taxes from you city (sales, noise, property, union workers-yes, the stage hands are union). And let's don't forget the artist, managers, band, food they need, transportation, hotels, equipment and staff. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the price either but I do know what it goes too. And some concerts aren't profitable and the artist, employees and tases still want their money. And what are you thinking about going to a concert in Charlotte, NC in July thinking it's not going to be hot! Have you seen our weather for the past 1000 years..it's the SOUTH!
If you like overpriced tickets, steaming hot paved asphalt, terrible accoustics (and it's an AMPHITHEATER), $8 beer, $4 water, and complimentary parking a half mile away, this is the venue for you. Be sure to smile at all the officers while you are there.
I"m appalled at all the fee's now that are included to see some live music. Facility fee $6, convenience fee $6.60 and order processing fee $5.15. The public needs to start boycotting these venues. A $19 lawn ticket turned into $34. Shameful !!!

Well said. I especially like the part about the officers. I found them to be oh so friendly and helpful! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know the food and drink prices at concerts are really high, but you can fix that problem by tailgaiting before you go into the venue. As far as parking, I've seen Jimmy Buffett at both Verizon in Charlotte and at Gillette Stadium and I would much rather get free parking than pay $40 and walk the same distance.
