User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsterrible service and inferior equipment! we rented a machine from this company only to get home and find out it didn't work. so we had to load it back into the car, drive across town, and get a replacement. minor set back, right? nope, once we get back home and unload the second machine, get it all hooked up, it works for about 2 minutes before it stops altogether. we call the company for help, and instead of the staff or manager being apologetic or helpful, they are rude and tell us basically, "tough luck." so after our third cross-town trip, and hours or acquiring, unloading, and setting up useless equipment we have made no progress. we have decided to wash our hands of this company and never use them again. also, we want to make sure none of our friends or family make the same mistake. stay away.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWe drove 120 miles round trip to rent a Santa Suit for a non profit function. The drive was horrendous with tons of traffic. The Tru Value Just Ask Rental was very hard to find since it had no Tru Value sign above the store.. We practically had to sign in blood to get the suit, two forms of Id credit card and on and on. It cost us $30 in gasoline to rent a suit that would have fit a midget. We called the store owner and asked if we could Fed Ex the suit back and he said YES but for every day it did not reach them beyond our rental date of Monday he would charge us a rental fee. So my husband and I had to fight the traffic and drive 120 miles on Saturday to return a small Santa suit that we ended up not being a ble to use. Our total cost in gasoline was $52.00. Now if Tru Value wants to operate their business in such a mean-spirited-manner there is nothing I can do about that other than telling everyone I know NOT to shop a their stores. I believed after 911 that people would be nicer and kinder and many in business are, but the store treated us without compassion and understanding. With gasoline at $3.10 a gallon they could have said, "Sure we have your credit card number, we have your address, we know that you are honest because you are a charitable organization and you WILL return the Santa Suit to us." They chose not to do that even though they had many Santa Suits available between their two stores.Merry Christmas to you and may 2008 bring you more compassion and caring than you have had in the past.

That you chose to drive that far is not their fault, nor was the traffic or gas prices. I think this review is rediculous that you even mention Sept 11th. If the suit was too small you shouldn't have rented it, and most places check for a couple forms if ID when renting things anyway. Heck even Blockbuster does that in order to rent movies.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsJust what I was looking for!: I walked in, told them what I needed, and they promptly showed me the way! It was great! I looked around, and it looks as though they have EVERYTHING! There are even a few things that I might end up renting. The only complaint is that it wasn't very clean and organized. But when you have great service and prices and it has everything you need, then how can I REALLY complain??? It was great and I will be returning! Thank you!
