User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIf you want delicious and authentic Italian food, then Adelio's is the place to go. The veal dishes are especially and the chicken marsala is to die for. They also have a fantastic tiramisu, which is one of the most delicious italian desserts.

This is a wonderful restaurant with exceptional food. The chef is from New York and the food is better than what you find in many large cities -- tender veal and great seafood.

If you want a fine dinning experince: do not go to Adelio's restaurant. I ordered a glass of wine, the bartender served the wine in a plastic cup. I brought the matter to the owners attention, Adelio response: "There's nothing wrong with serving wine in plastic. Try Blackwater Grille it's a much more satisfying fine dining experience.

she was served in plastic in the bar after dinner hours they do not serve the wine in plastic in the dining area.
you are absolutely right, Mimi! Adelio's would never serve wine in plastic cup in the restaurant, only the bar! Blackwater Grille!?...OVER-PRICED, AWEFUL SERVICE, FOOD IS ALWAYS INCONSISTENT!
talk about inconsistent- plastic at the bar & glass at a table?...do they not have the cash to just buy wine glasses for all their wine customers? i am italian & haven't found a good ITALIAN restaurant ANYWHERE in lumberton, i go back to raleigh or make it myself if i want REAL italian.
Adelio's is the best place to eat in Lumberton and the surrounding cities. The food is absolutely wonderful. You can cut the filet mignon w/a fork, it is so tender. And the portebella mushrooms are to die for on top of the steak! When I travel back home (Robeson Co.) I always stop at Adelio's. When the restaurant closes, the bar opens and they sometimes get a large crowd and that is why they switch to plastic cups. It is annoying, but is required for the crowd.
