User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy wife and I came to Wrightsville Beach for the weekend and our first afternoon we went looking for somewhere to eat. After driving around aimlessly we stumbled across Port City Chop House. It was only about 4:30 in the afternoon, we were virtually the only ones there. What an incredible surprise when our food arrived and it was truly the most delicious meal we've ever had. I had the peppered salmon and my wife had the crabcakes. My wife raved about hers. She had been hesitant about the sauce but it was not overpowering and was a perfect compliment to the rest of the meal. On our way out I made sure to stop by and thank the chefs. We are thrilled to see that there is one near us in Raleigh and we will be visiting there very soon. We can't say enough good things about our visit. Service was good, lighting was low but pleasant. If you find yourself wanting a truly delicious meal be sure to go.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsSorry guys. But we actually walked out last night due to it being way too cold. and it was dark and dreary. My wife kept asking, "why is it like this now? it used to be so nice" the atmosphere has gone downhill lately. But previous trips here exposed us to wonderful steaks and delicious drinks. Maybe we will try it again, maybe not.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy family and I went to Port City Chop house in Wilmington this past weekend, and found it to be a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the menu varied enough for any palate, and the service was impeccable. The decor was very attractive, and the area we set in provided some privacy to carry on a normal conservation. This is an upscale restaurant, with prices to match. Make no mistake - It is worth every penny. My steak was cooked to perfection, and had the perfect spices and marinade. I recommend Port City Chop House highly!
