I had to go to the emergency room on August 9, 2008 and what a surprise I got. I expected the usual inefficiency and employees there just to make a pay check.

The personnel at Pender Memorisl's emergency room from the person who checked me in, the nurses, the doctor to the lady who checked me out and reviewed with me what the doctor's orders were withour exception the most caring of any I have ever delt with. I'm 70 years old and have been in hospitals from the U.S. to Tokyo, Japan and have never seen people who seemed to care more for the patient and with efficiency unmatched.

I don't know where Pender Memorial got these people but they certainly got the best there is.

My wife was with me and received the same courtious treatment from all who we came in contact with.

God has blessed each one of them with a special gift to care for others and their use of that gift is truly appreciated.
